CHEVY BLAZER. BUILT TOUGH TO MAKE GETTING THERE EASY. If getting to an emergency is the roughest part of the job, Chevy Blazer can com e in mighty handy. B ecause Blazer's built-in toughness and 4-wheel-drive traction let you take the short, fast route. Full-time 4-wheel drive available. All 4 x 4 B lazers w ith available Turbo H ydra-m atic come with C hevy's full-time 4-wheel drive. W ith all controls located conve niently inside th e cab, you can go from th e highw ay to th e rough going w ith o u t g e ttin g o u t to lock or unlock th e fro n t hubs. Conven tional 4-wheel drive is available with m anual transm issions. High Energy Ignition system helps beat the weather. S ta n d a rd w ith all Chevy engines, H .E .I. de livers a h o tte r sp ark th a n previous conventional system s. The results: quick s ta r ts and all-w eather pro tection from m oisture, d irt and road splash. We start with a tough foundation. Blazer toughness b e gins deep down with a tough ladder-type ste e l frame. Rugged multi leaf front and rear springs and front stabilizer bar are standard on 4-wheel-drive Blazers. Counter angled rear shocks help reduce brake and power hop; and front disc brakes pro vide quick re covery from the effects of water. Chevy toughness goes right to the top. The front section of the Blazer roof is made of steel. And a removable fiber- glass-reinforced plastic top encloses the rear area. With standard front bucket seats and available rear seat, Blazer can seat up to five passengers and still han dle 44 cubic feet of luggage. Remove the rear passenger seat and there's room for more than 102 cubic feet of cargo. Even when carrying a full load, Blazer offers high ground clearance. BUILT TO STAY TOUGH
